...of a deadline! Hehe. I can always find time to stamp when I "have to" (break my arm why don't you!).
Anyhoo, this card was made for my church's card ministry, His Sentiments. I had the chance to finally go a few weeks ago and loved it! There's nothing better than getting together with other ladies to stamp. Although I didn't know anyone (there were some familiar faces), it was a very welcoming group and I was at ease. So... I guess you want to see the card!
I wanted the card to be fairly easy to do, but with a touch of elegance. The "assignment" was for female get well or sympathy cards. I think this can fit either. I finally used Roses in Winter (all the while kicking myself for not buying it sooner - it was quite a sight...) with the "smooshing" technique seen in this great tutorial by Emily. I stamped it on Shimmer White CS and added the words from Warmest Regards. Then I just mounted the cardstock... so easy! I must say, I struggled a little with leaving all the white space, but I think it really works.
An added benefit... this card fit perfectly for the technique challenge today, which was to make a simple card for sending. Card making is a wonderful art, but cards are meant to be sent. Receiving them is wonderful... even if they are super simple, it is the thought that makes the difference! I encourage you to embrace this thought. I reflected on this while finishing off this card and I hope to put it to action. Have a great day!
